Fairest of them all.

We love it when our favourite shops newest collections land, so after waiting a while Topshop's new range of 'limited Edition Dresses' hit on line and major stores my heart faltered a little. Scrolling down intently on my laptop it's not long before I reach the bottom of the page.
Now, there are only 19 dresses in the newest collection, none the less, plenty to choose from.
Now I know most people try to talk themselves out of buying new things when any money you have must be spent on things you need, like new undies as yours are falling to shreds, or paying the bills, your rent and buying your best friends birthday presents... BUT... oh yes i used the word 'but!'  - every now and then, it isn't a crime to treat yourself ladies!
Most people every now and then will have an important 'do' to go to, or a work party, ball, posh dinner or something along those luxurious lines, and this is the time to treat yourself to one of these BEAUTIFUL dresses that will have you whimpering with joy as you stroke the expensive feeling material that is now adorned on your body.
So lets take a look at 3 of my personal favourites from the 19 to choose from.

First up is the gorgeous and delicate looking little pastel pink number. It is just above the knee (for those who dare to bare a little flesh) and baby pink in colour. This tulip shaped dress has an all over sequin embellishment and back cut-outs. At £125 it is one of the cheaper priced Limited Edition dresses from the collection, but perfect for that summer ball you have at work.
The delicate and pretty sequins will have all eyes on you as you walk into the room, and you will feel like a million pounds (or dollars, or whichever currency you live by) wearing a dazzling dress such as this, so go on.. buy it, you know you want too..

**LIMITED EDITION Pink Embellished Tulip Dress

Next on my list is a truly stunning baby purple floor length maxi dress with leather flower embellishment and racer back. This good-enough-to-eat maxi is likely to have you feeling like a princess as the flowy material slides along your body and boosts your confidence through the roof as your colleagues stare your way in wonder. At £175 this dress isn't cheap... but it is worth the money to make an impression.. and we all know everyone needs to make a good impression, and this dress... could be your way to do that!

**LIMITED EDITION Leather Flower Maxi Dress

Last, but by no means least on my list is this stunning 'washed blue' sparkle dress.
Again this dress is the flattering tulip style dress, with pleat details. The light blue colour (pastels galore) has a unique sparkle effect up close and will leave those jealous lady work colleagues in a hot flush as they realise how much better than them you look.
This dress is short and sweet and will work well with anything from snowy skin to a sun-kissed beauty.
At £150 it is in the middle price range of the other two dresses and worth every penny as you sparkle yourself through the party, all envious eyes only making you - and the dress - shine brighter.

As this collection says, don't be afraid to 'Stand Out' as in all honesty and however much you may hate the saying.... YOLO sweethearts.

Summer loving.

As i type i am sitting outside in my garden, savouring the warm sunshine I am experiencing in March 2012 - a real treat for the UK - It has me thinking about all the things i have to look forward to this summer, and how i can't confess in enough words how summer is my favourite season. For one the clothes, I am a sucker for pretty dresses, little sandals, shorts and bikinis, holidays, events, being with my friends and family whenever i wants (thanks to the 6 week holidays) and the freedom you can get. I love the sun (although it doesn't love me when i forget to use suncream) and getting a tan is one of the best things, and something you can savour... until winter comes and starts to harshly strip you of any colour you have achieved over the past 3/4 months of earning it!
This year some of the amazing things i get to experience are V festival (going with my best friend) as I've never actually been before! I've always wanted to, and this time it must be my year. I can't wait to set up our little camp-site and camp in probably not so nice conditions for 4 nights! and drink more than my weight in sweet alcoholic drinks.. Watching some of my favourite bands, and those just really fun to jump too, meeting new people and sporting your summer gear and brand new sunnies (at least 2 or 3 pairs in case you lose them) it all sounds brilliant to me! Another reason that I'm looking forward to summer, is because I FINALLY turn 18! I'm so excited, and lucky it is in the summer months (summer baby, yeaa) and that just means my summer will probably revolve around drinking and partying like there's no tomorrow! i really can't wait :)
Another thing is I'll probably be going on holiday again with my mum, her friend and my best friend (we've done it once before but my best friend has come with me 4 times) and we have a good laugh, sunbathe, drink, spy on hot men and generally have a great time in the sunny depths of some exotic location.
I'm looking forward to summer with all my heart (cheesy crap) and I really hope this lovely weather stays with us!

Pastels we love.

Looking for some cheap, chick and affordable pastels to wear this season? Looking for a red hot (or more mid-cool) accessory to make your outfit pop? You've come to the right place.
Accessories are a must have, and in a pastel colour even more so, so doing a little shopping around I have come across some cute bag numbers to help you with your search.
First up we have the Pastel Colour Block Bucket Bag from Asos.
Mixing some key pastel colours of baby-pink, Baby-blue and light-yellow all in to one bag, with added snake effect trims and in a bucket shape, this bag is bang on trend! Snap this big baby up for a mere £35 from this months pay-check, not too extreme and definitely worth it!
 Pick her up here

Next on my grab-and-run list is a Topshop beauty. In a pinch leather design, it is more unique and eye-catching, and with its adorable baby-pink colour it is sure to catch attention of other pastel loving fanatics.

With a handy and optional cross-body strap, you can either hang her across your shoulder, or carry her... or clutch her tightly with your hand as if your life depends on it, some people do not realise what our favourite accessories mean to us, so back off and admire from a distance!
Pick her up online now for £32 or in most stores, see you there!
Pick me

Another pick is a new purse... to put in your new bag... cheeky i know. Now some of you might think, well whats the point? it's always stuck in your bag for no one to see. But alas! Your purse is still a very important statement "Why?!" I hear you shout, well my friend... because every time you purchase a new garment for your wardrobe, or new arm candy, or face candy, or body candy... Your beloved purse will make an appearance! When it jumps out of your bag and into your hands ready for you to swipe that sparkly credit card, everyone will see that you indeed, have a beautiful purse who is lucky enough to hold all your important things (even that ugly family portrait picture that was taken when you had a fashion disaster aged 10) see, look how far you have come now!
How about a pretty/feisty Miss Selfridge number you can scoop it up for only £20.00, and it's 100% real leather, so where can you go wrong!

With a chick bluesy-cream colour this purse is spring-fresh, but with these foolhardy skull heads, no one who shouldn't be, will be getting into your purse.
"Pick me up here" he shouts...  CREAM LEATHER SKULL PURSE

That concludes my top 3 pastel accessory buys for today, be sure to check out these beauties, and buy one - or two - or three? - ... come on look how cute they all are!

Nails see all.

I was reading online earlier when I came across a picture of Alexa Chung sporting a pair of Egyptian eye nails. Now it kind of creeped me out at first, because it looked weird... having 10 'see all' eyes painted individually on your finger nails. The nail artist that had drawn them talked about how she had painted 450 fingernails for the catwalk, all with an Egyptian theme! Now that's dedication...
If you wanted to get the look Alexa is wearing below you might like to purchase some Topshop nail varnish, in the colours Cloak & Dagger & Windy city both £5 each from Topshop.com or in stores now.

Cloak & Dagger
Windy City

It's worth checking out the whole Topshop Nail collection here and grabbing yourself  some of the beautiful shades available. With 81 colours in the collection so far and more being added weekly you're sure to find some shades to suit you.
Happy shopping!

Magazine mayhem.

So, I’m sitting here reading the latest fashion and celebrity magazines, scouring for the latest trends and cheap bargains whilst personally choosing out the things that I would wear, and what I would most definitely not wear - even if it is at the height of fashion.

My eyes are scanning the beautiful pastels which I am most fond of, and making a mental list in my mind of hitting them up on my favourite clothing websites; Zara, Topshop, Asos, River Island etc. So how do you wear pastels? What do they look good with? Will they suit me? Well as long as you don't go around spilling your daily latte on them of course you will look good! It’s finding the right colours and styles to suit you.
Turning the page I now spot Bouclé jackets and instantly feel drawn in. They are cute, quite girly (colour depending) and elegantly smart (adding that extra glam to your maybe not so exciting work outfit) ... 3 things a girl loves. Plus if you see that Olivia Palermo is wearing one... you know it’s a right choice. I keep spying them in my local high street fashion shops and having a closer look, thinking maybe my wardrobe deserves one of these beauties? Maybe it does.
Next on my hit-list are dresses. Now, as of myself I am addicted to pretty dresses and they are usually one of the first things to catch my eye when I am out shopping, especially if they are a little unique to the others you always see. I've been hearing and seeing alot about how dresses are going 'global' and when I read on further in More! Magazine I do indeed learn more.
It seems as though different countries have adapted to certain characteristics.
First there is the 'American Woman' I see dresses with the likes of Stripes and spots (blue, red and white) true to the ‘Old Glory of USA’, donned on classic 'Skater' style dresses and cliché waitress like 'Shirt' dresses.
Next is the 'English Rose' idea, which true to the name is a bright and loud rose pattern, soaked on to a sundress or tunic reaching out to the historic Tudor rose of England.
'Persian Princess' is next on my list, with its bright and unique pattern designs it is eye-catching and pretty. When I see the designs I think of royalty, more back in the past when dresses were covered in paisley designs. Moving on to the next style I present to you
‘Hawaiian girl’ and much where our imaginations lead us, we land in a world full of big, bold and boisterous Hibiscus flowers, splattered all over sweet dresses. When wearing one (providing the weather is warm and sunny) we picture ourselves on an isolated Island far away on a beautiful coast, breathing in the fresh and pure air when sudd- enough with that image, it’s making me crave a Holiday. See, this print just reminds us of summer, of the good times with our friends and family out in the open and having fun, which is exactly what this print is, Fun and flirty.
‘Grecian Goddess’ is next, with its typical Greek style adapted in France shortly after the French revolution. Clothing reformers late in the 19th century admired the Grecian dress as they believed it represented timeless beauty and we can see why with the flowing fabric, gathered pleats and soft calming colours, that indeed the dresses are beautiful.
The last of the International dresses is a style known as the ‘Eastern Starlet’ which sees charming and graceful flower prints, matched with graceful and darling dresses. I see pretty blossoms balanced on a crisp cream button dress, and a brighter and bigger flower gracing a dark midnight silk shift dress. Beautiful is an understatement.
The last topic on my entry today will be the thing that I really do not have an attraction too.
The sporty heeled trainers look – wedged high tops. Now my best friend seems to be crazy about this most recent trend, scouring the internet for the classic Nike, propped up on a strange heel making you wonder how it will ever look nice with anything? She shows me ways of pairing them with certain outfits and I must admit the models in our magazines usually pull them off quite well… but they, for me, just do not do it.
